Payday - Presented by Eddy Temple-Morris
Story by Jack Foley
PAYDAY is a new monthly night brought to you by XFM’s genre busting aficionado Eddy Temple-Morris and Dub Pistol head honcho, Barry Ashworth.
Every last Friday of the month *Neighbourhood, in Acklam Road, Ladbroke Grove, London, will be taken over by the two warriors of sound with a music policy that mixes up rock, dance and the unexpected.
Expect to be transported into a world of remix mastery as Eddy Temple-Morris, producer and presenter of XFM’s biggest specialist show The Remix, Ibiza Rocks and Manumission Resident, brings his flavour to West London’s finest.
Dub Pistols front man Barry Ashworth is the ultimate party host. The electro punk poet and DJ extraordinaire guarantees to rock the night with his funk fuelled breaks and up for it attitude – The Dub Pistol Soundsystem features on the launch night and expect a 4-deck face-off with Eddy as a special Payday bonus!
The philosophy of Payday is clear – it’s the end of the month so get your rocks off.
This electro live crossover night will feature two live bands every month including a showcase by a hot new act plus guest DJ sets and special guest MCs.
The launch party features an eclectic mix of party activists with the weird and wonderful Warren Suicide taking clubbers on a conceptual journey of twisted pop electronica.
Groundbreaking Antipodean show stoppers Pendulum will also mix up a fine feast of drum ‘n’ bass beats and mayhem.
Add hot new act on the bloc, Kill Electric, to the line up and you’ve got a first class Friday with live bands, dance floor filling DJs and raucous end of the month entertainment.
Payday @ Neighbourhood, 12 Acklam Rd, London, W10 (Ladbroke Grove/ Westbourne Grove). Door: £10.
