Going Berserk

Going Berserk (1983), starring John Candy (Planes, Trains & Automobiles) in an early leading role alongside Eugene Levy (American Pie) and Joe Flaherty (SCTV), is a laugh-out-loud comedy about John Bourgignon – a chauffeur engaged to a congressman’s daughter – who encounters a sleazy film director, the leader of an aerobics cult and other crazed characters during the days leading up to his wedding.

Here Come The Waves

In raucous musical Here Come The Waves (1944), WWII nightclub singers and twin sisters Rosemary and Susie (Betty Hutton – Annie Get Your Gun) join the WAVES, a women’s branch of the US navy and both fall in love with heartthrob crooner Johnny Cabot (Bing Crosby – Going My Way). Nominated for an Oscar© for Best Music, Original Song.

Hired Wife

Hilarious romcom Hired Wife stars Golden Globe winner Rosalind Russell (His Girl Friday) as Kendal Browning, the assistant to businessman Stephen Dexter (Brian Aherne – Juarez). When Stephen faces a hostile takeover from a rival company and he’s advised to enter into a sham marriage, Kendal takes things into her own hands.

Joe Butterfly

In post-war-era comedy, Joe Butterfly (1957), journalists working for a military magazine have just three days to put together an issue. Faced with too few stories and too little time, the gang travels to Tokyo and turn to a shady character for help. Stars George Nader (Shannon), Burgess Meredith (Rocky) and Audie Murphy (The Unforgiven).

Journey To Shiloh

Journey To Shiloh

Harrison Ford (Star Wars) stars in one of his earliest roles alongside James Caan (The Godfather) in Journey To Shiloh (1968), a compelling Western adventure that tells the story of seven young West Texans who embark on a cross-country journey in order to join the Confederate army during the American Civil War.

The Lady Gambles

The Lady Gambles (1949) is a gritty, classic piece of film noir starring four-time Oscar© nominee and Emmy-winner Barbara Stanwyck, alongside Robert Preston (The Music Man) and Tony Curtis (Some Like it Hot), one woman’s gambling addiction puts her marriage – and her life – in grave danger.

The Lady Takes A Flyer

Part comedy, romance and thriller, The Lady Takes a Flyer (1958) is set in post WWII, where former Air Force colonel Mike (Jeff Chandler – Broken Arrow) launches an air-ferry service and takes to the skies with employee Maggie (Lana Turner – Imitation of Life). Soon the pair fall in love, but as the stakes are raised, how far will they go for love?
