The Babymakers - Preview

The Babymakers

Preview by Jack Foley

GET ready for some side-splitting, below-the-belt laughter as director Jay Chandrasekhar (Super Troopers) brings you this years outrageous comedy, The Babymakers, released on DVD and to Download on October 1, 2012 by Momentum Pictures.

Starring Olivia Munn (The Newsroom, Magic Mike, Iron Man 2), Paul Schneider (Water For Elephants, Lars and the Real Girl, Parks and Recreation), Aisha Taylor (Friends, 24, CSI) and Nat Faxon (Bad Teacher), The Babymakers is another fantastic comedy written and directed by The Broken Lizard troupe – whose previous successes include Super Troopers, Club Dread and Beerfest.

Tommy (Schneider) and Audrey (Munn) are a happily married couple who after three years together decide to have a child. However, the couple run into some problems when they discover that Tommy is firing blanks.

Desperate and afraid his marriage may fall apart, Tommy enlists the help of his dysfunctional friends to find a solution to his problem. Before long, the hapless team convince him to stage a heist and steal back a semen sample – which he donated years before – from a sperm bank.

Armed with only the aid of a bizarre ex-mobster and no skills whatsoever, this newly formed team of thieves set out in the dead of the night to embark on an awkwardly hilarious mission to help Tommy take back what is rightfully his. But as with any half-baked scheme everything can and does go wrong.

The Babymakers takes romcoms and heist movies to a whole new level giving you a full dose of the cringe-factor, and leaving you on the edge-of-your-seat from start to finish.

If you are a fan of The Forty Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up then this is definitely one for your collection.
