War For The Planet of the Apes: Caesar ice sculpture towers over London
A life-sized sculpture of Caesar on horseback was unveiled in Covent Garden on Monday, November 27, 2017, to mark the home entertainment release on Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital Download. Award winning ice sculptors from Glacial Art, will be creating the sculpture from two giant ice blocks imported from Belgium weighing in at 3 tonnes – approximately 3,000 litres of water. The production required four chainsaws, chisels, steak knives, bonsai saws, angle grinders, irons, nail boards and 100 man hours over a five day period to create the towering 2.2m tall sculpture – all whilst in a minus 20 degree full scale industrial fridge. The sculpture was located outside Urban Outfitters in Covent Garden, for one day only.
