Art and Contemporary Designer Craft Fair
THIS year, the London Art and Contemporary Designer Craft Fair, organised by Craft In Focus, is being held at the Bank of England Sports Centre from November 12 to November 14, 2010.
This new venue, close to Central London, a stone’s throw from the beauty of Richmond Park and set in 32 acres of award winning grounds, provides a unique location steeped in English tradition – a perfect backdrop to an event of this calibre.
The exciting event brings the public the very best of contemporary design from the leading professional artists and contemporary designer makers in the UK today.
Visitors will be able to purchase from a stunning treasure trove of original and affordable designs direct from British artists who have a real passion for the work they create and that simply cannot be found among the mass-produced items sold on the high street.
It is also possible to commission bespoke pieces in a relaxed atmosphere for yourself, your home or someone special.
All the exhibitors at Craft In Focus events have designed and made the work that they display, and have been selected for their individuality and innovation in contemporary design, as well as outstanding technical ability. Because of this, Craft in Focus has earned an enviable reputation for selecting only the very best designers, artists and craftsmen.
Amongst those new to the event this year are ceramicist Iveta Goddard, textile artist, Arleen Wild, furniture maker, Nicholas Hobbs and Jeff Soan with his articulating wooden creatures. Also worth checking out are Trisha Needham with her hand printed accessories for fashion and interiors, award-winning designer jeweller, Liz Tyler and Carrie Anne Funnell’s stunning fused glass creations.
Admission: £4.50; over 65s £3.50; accompanied under 14s free.
Opening times: Friday from 12noon to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
