THE TIMES newspaper is presenting Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre – from February 1 to February 4, 2007.
The UK’s largest consumer travel show has something to suit all tastes and all pockets – beach holidays, river cruising, city breaks, mountaineering, family safaris, wine tasting and even international house-swapping and husky-sledging.
But it’s not just about holidays. For those thinking about a career in the travel industry, there’s the Expert Panel Sessions with leading industry experts offering advice, insight and guidance in five fascinating sessions.
And they are The Art of Travel Writing, Travel Photography: Beyond the Lens, Breaking into Travel Reporting, Going Solo and Career Breaks.
There will also be journalists, broadcasters and correspondents from BBB News, recounting their experiences in some of the world’s most dangerous and stunning locations.
This year’s line-up includes Simon Reeve, presenter of Equator; Ben Anderson, presenter of Holidays in the Danger Zone; David Shukman, BBC environment and science correspondent; and Caroline Hawley, former Baghdad correspondent.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience aspects of different cultures, such as music, food and drink.
Tickets: £8 in advance, £10 on the door.
February 1 – 10am to 8.30pm.
February 2, 3 and 4 – 10am to 5.30pm.
