Dying to Know - P3 Gallery

Exhibition preview

ON SEPTEMBER 3, 2009, seventeen award-winning photographers will unveil their new work in Dying to Know at P3, a major venue in central London.

For the third year in a row, London’s first and only independently and professionally curated degree show will showcase the best work from graduates of one of the most highly acclaimed photography MA programs.

Building on the strengths of the last two exhibitions, whose 5,000 visitors combined included some of the most important critics and art-world luminaries in London, Dying to Know reinforces the unmatched professionalism for which the annual MAPS exhibition has become legendary.

Again occupying the 14,000 square feet of P3, this highly anticipated show will be even more visually stunning in 2009. Tipped by insiders as the best showcase of new talent in the run-up to Frieze week, Dying to Know is more than an exhibition – it’s an event not to be missed.

Curator Elizabeth Upper says of the exhibition: “Dying to Know is an incredibly exciting exhibition of artists who are on their way to becoming major forces in the world of photography.”

This year’s exhibition features never-before-seen work by Estefani Bouza, Assunta Del Buono, Brett Killington, Ting-Ting Cheng, Petter Garaas, Mikael Gregorsky, Radi Konstantinov, Angela Leonidou, Lisa Phillips, Milcho Andreev, Andreia Alves de Oliveira, Despina Papachistoudi, David Penny, Chantal Riekel, Kathrin Spirk, Sarah Swenson and Joanna Zylinska.

Work from last year’s exhibition is currently featured in major international shows at institutions like the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris.
