Exhibition of Ferrari Photography and Art
Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle
AN EXHIBITION of Ferrari Photography and Art by Peter Hall will be on display at La Galleria in Pall Mall from Sunday, March 29 to Saturday, April 11, 2009.
Hall began photographing cars just over three years ago, commissioned by auction houses, classic car dealers and private collectors. Over time, he has developed his artistic abilities to capture the very essence and style of a Ferrari car, often on-track at such events as Le Mans, the FIA GT Championship and Ferrari’s Finali Mondiali, as well as at UK venues including Goodwood and Silverstone.
The photographic collection is wide-ranging, covering iconic and memorable Ferrari cars from the past as well as the legends of today, from both road and track. These include the 2008 Formula 1 cars.
This will be the first time Hall has shown his photography in public.
To extend the reach of the Ferrari-focused exhibition, Hall has invited three other artists to display their work – Klaus Wagger, John Ketchell and Enzo Nasso, whose paintings of semi-abstract dynamic motoring art complement Hall’s photography perfectly. Meanwhile, Oliver Strebel-Ritter of World Collector will be bringing some top-quality scale models to add to the collection.
Limited edition pieces and prints will be on sale at the event.
NB: On the first day of the exhibition, visitors will be able to watch the opening Grand Prix of 2009 while viewing the works on display.
Times: Opening day from 10am to 8pm; other days from 10.30am to 7pm.
