Foyles events this spring (2016)

Event preview

FROM economic and political upstarts to the great dames of literature; comedy to guided doodling; this spring sees a range of extraordinary events at Foyles.

Former Greek finance minister and celebrated symbol of Europe’s anti-austerity movement Yanis Varoufakis drops in, in what will be the only London signing for his new book And the Weak Suffer What They Must? Those who pre-book will even have the chance to win his signature motorcycle jacket.

Meanwhile, there’s an evening with Diana Athill. Now in her ninety-ninth year, Diana’s career in publishing played a crucial role in shaping the literary landscape, and her two novels and nine autobiographical works have won her several awards and an OBE.

Sara Pascoe is in conversation with fellow comedian and writer Viv Groskop, discussing her new book Animal: The Autobiography of a Female Body, while award-winning journalist and travel writer Decca Aitkenhead presents her new memoir All at Sea, in discussion with Alastair Campbell.
