Free Family Events at Westminster Abbey this Easter

WESTMINSTER Abbey’s popular family events return this Easter, running from Saturday, March 26 to Friday, April 1, 2016.

Easter at Westminster Abbey – Saturday, March 26 at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.

On Holy Saturday, reflect on the Easter story and make a cross to take home as part of your Easter celebrations. Suitable for ages 3+.

To book: Register at the Information Desk at the Great North Door on the day.

Easter Crafts: Symbols of New Life – Monday, March 28 to Friday, April 1 at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.

Explore the Easter story by discovering traditional symbols and imagery. This is a chance to get practical and make eggs and crosses to take home with you as part of your Easter celebrations. Suitable for ages 3+.

Bloody Noses and Crack’d Crowns: Shakespeare and the Abbey – Tuesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 31 at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm.

This is a rare opportunity to explore the real spaces and characters from Shakespeare’s plays and make exciting links between Shakespeare’s words and Westminster Abbey! Suitable for ages 7+.
