Horse in War - National Army Museum
Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle
ON THE weekend of September 16 and September 17, 2006, the National Army Museum is holding its annual Horse in War event.
The free family weekend event celebrates and commemorates the role of the horse in times of conflict, and spans 900 years – from Norman knight to 1916 trooper.
Three ‘thrilling’ shows will bring the past to life and highlight the unique, age-old partnership between soldier and mount.
The National Army Museum, which is open daily from 10am to 5.30pm, is in Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea.
