Look What I Found - Lesley Craze Gallery

Preview by Lizzie Guilfoyle

LESLEY Craze Gallery is presenting an exhibition of jewellery, vessels and artworks made from recycled materials and found objects. Entitled Look What I Found, it runs from September 28 to October 20, 2007.

Treacle tins, old comics, the ubiquitous London ‘freebie’ papers, old coins, rubber gloves and tin cans – these objects and materials might not have immediate intrinsic value, but in the hands of a group of artists, these otherwise functional objects and materials are transformed into precious objects such as jewellery, decorative vessels and ‘objects d’Art’.

Look What I Found unites this diverse group of artists who are all intrigued by the idea of ordinary items taking on extraordinary forms. They include Sebastian Buescher, Minji Cho, Magie Hollingworth, David Poston, Seon-hwa Lee, Clare Malet, Rachel Max, Tracie Murchison, Niala Orsmond and Betty Pepper.

Admission: Free.

Times: 10am to 5.30 pm, Tuesdays to Saturdays.
