Love Music: Help Haiti - Proud Camden
IN RESPONSE to the ongoing situation in Haiti and with the intention of raising as much money as possible to help the survivors of the earthquake, a group of young professionals in the creative industry have come together to organise Love Music: Help Haiti, an evening of live music, spoken word and DJs that will take place at Proud Camden on Wednesday, January 20, 2010.
All proceeds will be split between Oxfam’s Haiti Appeal and the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).
On January 12, 2010, a massive earthquake hit the Caribbean Island of Haiti. As of January 17, 2010, it was thought that at least 100,000 people could have died and millions more are still unaccounted for or have been left homeless in the aftermath of what the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, has called “the worst humanitarian crisis for decades”.
Co-ordinated by Phil Honour, the event will feature performances by Micachu, Chapter 24, Fiction, Polarbear and many more.
Price: Pay what you can (suggested donation £3).
Time: 9pm until late.
