New Art and Antiques Fair opens in the heart of London
THIS August sees the opening of the first Antiques & Fine Art Fair at Mall Galleries, on The Mall, near Trafalgar Square (SW1). The Fair, organised by well-established Penman Fairs, will have 30 specialist dealers bringing the best of British Antiques and Fine Art to this prestigious venue in the heart of London from Wednesday, August 28 to Saturday, August 31, 2013.
Within a few yards of iconic London landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and Westminster, the fair organisers felt that it was only appropriate to celebrate all things British with this Fair.
Its perfect location will make it easy for all visitors to London to take in all the famous sights, but also spend some time finding that perfect piece of jewellery, small British painting or other genuine and unique object with which to remember their London visit.
While it may be the perfect place for London visitors, it is also conveniently located for all those who would like to invest in some of the finest paintings, from the 17th Century to today, jewellery, small furniture, sculpture, silver, glass, militaria and commemoratives. Like all Penman Fairs, all objects for sale will be vetted by experts and a packing and shipping service will be provided.
Caroline Penman, the Fair organiser, says: “We are delighted to be able to bring such a high quality Antiques and Art Fair to Central London. Last year, all eyes were on London and 15 million people visited from the UK and all over the world. This year with the Coronation Festivities continuing and the imminent arrival of the Royal baby, London will continue to be the focus of many people’s attention.
“London hosts many fine Antiques & Art Fairs, but traditionally August has been neglected. Mall Galleries can now fill that gap, while the capital is teeming with overseas visitors.”
Opening Hours: Wednesday to Friday 10am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 4pm.
