Strictly Come Dancing Live UK Tour 2014
AS BBC One’s hugely popular entertainment show, Strictly Come Dancing, returns to our TV screens, tickets for the 2014 Strictly Come Dancing Live UK Tour will go on sale from 9am on Monday, September 9, 2013.
The multi-million pound show production will open at the Birmingham NIA on January 17, 2014, starring Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli, who are back as the tour’s formidable judges. They will be on hand to give their expert feedback and all important scores to the celebrities and their dance partners.
Details of the celebrities and dancers appearing on the tour will be announced soon.
The 2014 live tour will feature a brand new line-up of your favourite celebrities and dancers from the TV show. Strictly fans get to watch the celebrity dancing couples competing live for the judges’ votes and then get to vote themselves with their mobile phones.
Arena audiences will experience Strictly’s glitz, glamour and breathtaking choreography, courtesy of judge Craig Revel Horwood, who is directing the live show for the fourth year running.
Head Judge Len Goodman said: “It’s a great thrill to take the cream of what promises to be another electric TV series out on the road for the seventh Strictly UK Tour. Strictly will again pull out all the stops with an outstanding line up of celebs and I’m really looking forward to finding out who will be joining Craig, Bruno and myself on tour.”
Craig Revel Horwood added: “Taking Strictly around the country and performing live to thousands of people every night is always such a pleasure. I’m extremely excited to be directing the show again, and already planning a fab-u-lous extravaganza. This tour will be the most amazing yet!”
Bruno Tonoli agreed: “Another series of Strictly, another superb line up of beautiful celebs and an incredible seventh live tour… Who could ask for more?! Fantastico!”
The tour has received rave reviews in the national newspapers since it began – the Mail on Sunday awarded the 2013 tour a 4 Star review and the Daily Telegraph said: “The glitzy occasion still sparkles… It was Fab-u-lous”. The Sunday Express have previously said of the tour: “7000 of us raised the roof. Does it get much better? Not often.”
Last December, a peak audience of more than 13 million viewers tuned in to watch the Strictly final on BBC One, when gymnast Louis Smith was crowned the winner. The television format, also known as Dancing With The Stars, entered the Guinness Book of World Records three years ago as the world’s most successful reality television show and 48 different versions of the show have been licenced across the world by BBC Worldwide.
