Strictly's James and Ola help celebrate The Caravan Club's 105th Birthday
THE CARAVAN Club is hosting a celebration summer ball on June 15 to celebrate its 105th birthday and as part of its 2012 ‘Celebration of Touring’ year. At the same time The Club hopes to raise money for its chairman’s chosen charity of 2012, Leukaemia Lymphoma Research (LLR).
Strictly Come Dancing stars, James and Ola Jordan, will be gracing the famous dance floor at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, to introduce an evening of dancing.
This is just a small part of the impressive line up of entertainment, which includes the ‘Silks Aerial Ballet’, a ‘Last night of the Proms’ style show by the ‘British Imperial Military Band’ and an evening of dancing with the exclusive show band, ‘Mixed Feelings’.
Grenville Chamberlain, Chairman of The Caravan Club, said:
“Although the evening will be a delightful celebration of The Caravan Club and caravanning, it also has a more serious purpose. The Club and I would like to take the opportunity to raise money for a very deserving chosen charity, Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, whose mission statement is “Beating Blood Cancer”. I am absolutely delighted that charity president, Sir Ian Botham, will be at the ball taking charge of an auction that cannot fail to get the gavel falling.”
Ball guest will enjoy a summer themed ball, with a Pimm’s drinks reception followed by a lavish five course meal, and the “star act” will be the amazing auction that hosts some money-can’t-buy lots. There will also be the chance to win a Swift Caravan, kindly donated by Swift Leisure, for just a £20 entry.
Tickets for the ball cost £85pp and include a five course meal, pre dinner drink and wine. Tickets are available to book at www.caravanclub.co.uk/.
