Summer Proms in the Park

THE classical spectacular Proms at Lacock Abbey will return to Lacock this summer, on Saturday, July 7, 2007.
The abbey provides the setting for the Harry Potter films and will play host to an amazing classical music, fireworks and laser spectacular.
The concert programme will feature a wide variety of classics and film scores, performed by the London Gala Orchestra.
And the fireworks and laser shows promise to be bigger and more amazing than ever before, featuring some new special effects!
Included in this year’s line-up is violin soloist Petronella Dittmer and special guest soprano Juliette Pochin.
Children under 5 are free.
Lacock Abbey is located in Lacock High Street, near Chippenham, Wiltshire.
Proms in the Park – Campbell Park
Easternbreeze and the centre:mk have announced that the classical spectacular, Proms in the Park, will return to Campbell Park, at the very heart of the city of Milton Keynes, on Saturday, July 21, 2007.
The concert will feature a specially tailored music programme that features favorite classical pieces by the world’s most famous composers along with Proms favourites and a few special surprises.
A firework and laser show will be bigger and more amazing than ever before and this year will feature the return of the Kutozov Battery cannons, firing to the 1812 Overture.
Featured performers also include The London Gala Orchestra; the Milton Keynes Chorale; conductor Stephen Bell; soprano Juliette Pochin and, during the course the concert, a special guest appearance by G4.
Proms in the Park – Bedford Park
A further outdoor concert, featuring popular classics and film scores, will take place at Bedford Park, Bedford, on Saturday, August 4, 2007.
The event will conclude with a fantastic firework and laser finale and will also feature the London Gala Orchestra with conductor Stephen Bell, as well as the Bedford Choral Society.
Special guest soloists have still to be announced.
