FOLLOWING the success of last year’s You Havin’ a Laugh?, Chris Beetles Gallery is presenting its second annual cartoon show, The Cartoonists 2008 – from April 8 to May 3.
The gallery has brought together some of Britain’s best-loved cartoonists from publications such as The Times, The Sunday Times, Private Eye, The Spectator, Daily Express, Evening Standard, Telegraph, Punch and The Economist. Together they represent the best British cartoons of the last 100 years.
Famous names will include Barry Appleby, HM Bateman, Glen Baxter, George Belcher, Simon Bond, Peter Brookes, Victoria Davidson, Frank Dickens, Simon Drew, Giles, Bill Hewison, Tony Husband, John Jensen, Kal, Larry, Low, Mac, Ed Mclachlan, Matt, Nick Newman, W Heath Robinson, Willie Rushton, Ronald Searle, Vicky, Kipper Williams, Mike Williams, Reg Wootton and Patrick Wright.
The variety and diversity of cartoons are reflected in the range of prices, with works from £50 – £5000.
