The London Original Print Fair 2019

Event preview

THE London Original Print Fair (LOPF), London’s longest running art fair, takes place at the Royal Academy of Arts from April 25 to April 28, 2019.

Bringing together 50 of the world’s top dealers, publishers and specialists, the Fair prides itself on offering visitors access to expertise and a comprehensive overview of the print medium from old masters to contemporary within a historic yet intimate setting.

Central to LOPF’s celebration of the print medium is the partnership with Hallett Independent who sponsor an Acquisitions Award. The Award gives a museum or gallery in the UK the opportunity to buy an original print from the Fair for their collection. Chaired by the President of the Royal Academy of Arts, Christopher Le Brun, the judges are Sam Phillips, Editor of the RA Magazine, Helen Rosslyn, Director of LOPF and Clare Pardy, Director of Museum and Heritage Services at Hallett Independent.

In addition to the winning institution receiving £8,000 to spend at the Fair, all five shortlisted institutions will receive a print donated by a Royal Academician. This forms part of the RA’s continued commitment to strengthening links between Royal Academicians and the many print collections across the country.

Applications are now invited from museums, public galleries and print collections across the UK and due by March 15, 2019.

The full list of exhibitors will be released in January 2019.

Tickets: £12, concessions £8. Free to Friends of the RA.

Times: Thursday, April 25 from 10am to 9pm; Friday, April 26 from 10am to 10pm; Saturday and Sunday, April 27 and 28 from 10am to 6pm.
