Aaron Taylor-Johnson in talks for Avengers 2

Story by Jack Foley

AARON Taylor-Johnson is reportedly in early discussions to join the cast of Joss Whedon’s Avengers sequel.

The “Kick-Ass”: star is reportedly being lined up to play Quicksilver in the superhero sequel, according to various websites including Variety, Deadline and TheWrap.

Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch are being viewed as two of the hottest uncast roles in Hollywood at the moment, as Whedon assembles his latest ensemble to join the likes of Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo in the keenly-anticipated Marvel sequel.

Ironically, Quicksilver looks set to feature in two new superhero movies as Bryan Singer recently tweeted that Evan Peters would play the part in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Quicksilver is Magneto’s son in the comics.

As yet, no plot details have been released for Avengers 2 but Whedon is returning to direct. He is also confident of getting all of his primary actors back despite continued reports of contract disputes.

Taylor-Johnson will be reprising his role of Kick-Ass for the forthcoming sequel, out later this summer.
