Al Pacino joins Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Al Pacino in Ocean's Thirteen

Story by Jack Foley

AL Pacino is the latest big name to join the ever burgeoning cast of Quentin Tarantino’s forthcoming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

The film centres around the real-life murder of actress Sharon Tate at the hands of the Charles Manson cult. However, the film won’t focus solely on that crime. Rather, it will follow former TV actor Rick Dalton (to be played by Leonardo DiCaprio) and long-time stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) in 1969 as they struggle in a hippy Hollywood they don’t recognise anymore.

As their lives unfold, it becomes apparent that Rick has a famous neighbour – Sharon Tate…

Pacino will play a character named Marvin Schwarz, the agent to DiCaprio’s Dalton.

He joins the likes of Margot Robbie and Burt Reynolds in the movie, which further features Billions star Damian Lewis as screen legend Steve McQueen, Luke Perry as Scotty Lancer, Emile Hirsch as hairstylist Jay Sebring and Dakota Fanning as Lynette ‘Squeaky’ Fromme – one of the members of the Manson family.

Clifton Collins has also joined as Ernesto the Mexican Vaquero, as has Keith Jefferson as Land Pirate Keith and Nicholas Hammond as director Sam Wanamaker.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is due for release in cinemas worldwide on August 9, 2019.
