Alien: Covenant debuts a 'Meet The Crew' photograph

Alien: Covenant

Story by Jack Foley

AHEAD of the release of a new clip this week, a new image from Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant has also been released, featuring the full crew of the Covenant for the first time.

The shot is notable for including James Franco, who has long been rumoured to have a role in the follow-up to Prometheus.

The actor is seen in the centre of the picture wearing a blanket that looks like a robe. Given his absence from the first trailer, it may be safe to assume he has a small but pivotal (and possibly ill-fated) role.

The new image serves as a precursor to the debut of new footage from the movie on Wednesday, which will be unveiled during an ad break on FX’s critically acclaimed Legion. The clip will mark the first peek at the movie since the Christmas Eve release of the initial trailer.

Alien: Covenant, which also stars Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup and Danny McBride, will be released on May 19.
