American Gladiators move in development

A BIG screen version of hit TV show American Gladiators is being developed as a potential new superhero movie.
Peter Iliff is currently working on a script that would re-imagine the Gladiators as crime-fighters for a potential release in 2011, according to Variety.
Iliff’s has previously written the screenplays for Patriot Games, Varsity Blues and Under Suspicion, and has just completed work on a sequel to his surfer hit Point Break, which is being directed by Jeff Wadlow.
