ANGELINA Jolie is now the highest-paid female star in Hollywood, according to Forbes magazine’s annual list (2013).

The actress has overtaken rivals Kristen Stewart, Cameron Diaz and Sandra Bullock thanks largely to a $10m contract with fashion house Louis Vuitton and a $15m salary for her upcoming role as the evil stepmother in Disney’s upcoming live action Maleficent, a re-imagination of Sleeping Beauty.

In total, Jolie is estimated to have made $33 million and that’s despite not appearing on the big screen since lending her voices to animated hit Kung Fu Panda 2 in 2011.

Coming in second was Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, who is riding high off the success of both her awards success and being part of two major movie franchies: X-Men and, most notably, The Hunger Games.

She actress won the Academy Award for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook but made most of her $26m from the forthcoming second instalment of The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, as well as the comic book prequel X-Men: First Class and its upcoming sequel.

Last year’s top earner Kristen Stewart slipped to third with $22m, most of which sprang from her roles in the final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn – Part Two, and fantasy film Snow White & The Huntsman, a sequel to which is reportedly in development.

Coming in fourth was Jennifer Aniston, who earned $20m largely from ongoing earnings from the TV series Friends and lucrative commercial endorsements.

While Emma Stone made fifth thanks to her franchise-busting success in The Amazing Spider-Man, which helped go some way towards making her $16m.

The remainder of the top 10 includes regular high earners Sandra Bullock, Natalie Portman, Cameron Diaz and Julia Roberts as well as one more newcomer: Mila Kunis, who nabbed ninth spot with $11m thanks to her earnings from blockbuster comedy Ted and hit fantasy prequel Oz The Great and Powerful.

The top 10 for 2013 reads as follows…
