Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess in talks for One Day

Anne Hathaway in Alice in Wonderland

Story by Jack Foley

ANNE Hathaway and Jim Sturgess are in negotiations to star in the romantic drama One Day.

Based on the David Nicholls novel of the same name, the film would mark the next project for An Education director Lone Scherfig.

It revolves around Dexter and Emma who meet for the first time during their graduation in 1988 and then meet each other one day a year for the next 20 years, before realising they are perfect for each other.

Hathaway can currently be seen as the White Queen in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and also has Love & Other Drugs in the works, which will reunite her with Brokeback Mountain co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal.

Sturgess recently wrapped on Peter Weir’s World War II drama The Way Back, which also stars Colin Farrell and Saoirse Ronan.
