Barry Jenkins to direct Chadwick Boseman in Expatriate

Story by Jack Foley

MOONLIGHT director Barry Jenkins is to direct Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman in new action thriller Expatriate.

Although plot details are sketchy at this stage, Deadline is reporting that the story revolves around the hijacking of a plane in the 1970s.

Boseman, who co-write the screenplay with Logan Coles, would take one of the lead roles.

As yet, there is no word on when filming is likely to commence given the busy schedules of both artists.

Jenkins is currently completing his follow-up to Moonlight, an adaptation of the novel If Beale Street Could Talk, while Boseman is on the promotion trail in support of Marvel’s Black Panther – the first solo outing for the character since his debut in Captain America: Civil War.

He will then switch to further promotion for Avengers follow-up, Infinity War, which is due out on April 27, 2018.
