BEN Affleck has confirmed the name of his stand-alone Batman film.

The star and director intends to call it, simply, The Batman – although he has also admits that could change!

In an interview with the Associated Press, he said: “The movie I think is going to be called The Batman. At least that’s what we’re going with now. I might change it. We’re working on the script. The script is going well. I’m really excited about it.”

As yet, no date has been set for the release of The Batman but Affleck did recently cast Joe Manganiello as the villain Deathstroke.

Also known as Slade Wilson, the Deathstroke character was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez and has become a popular comic book character. A mercenary turned assassin, he has encountered Batman on several occasions in the comics.

Prior to being seen in The Batman, Affleck himself will be reprising his role as the superhero figure in Justice League next November.

Warner Bros’ superhero team-up wrapped shooting in London on Saturday (October 1, 2016) and is moving to a remote location for additional shooting.
