Ben Affleck to direct Tell No One remake

Ben Affleck directs Gone Baby Gone

Story by Jack Foley

BEN Affleck will direct an American adaptation of mystery novel Tell No One, according to Deadline and Total Film.

The story, written by Harlan Coben, has already been turned into a hugely successful French language film by Guillaume Canet in 2007, winning four Cesars (the French Oscars), including Best Director and Best Actor.

The story follows a doctor who is accused of foul play in the disappearance of his wife a decade earlier, who suddenly starts receiving messages from her.

In setting out to save her, he finds himself involved in a sinister conspiracy.

Tell No One would mark Affleck’s third outing as director, following the critically acclaimed Gone Baby Gone and The Town

As yet, there is no word on casting or even whether Affleck intends to appear in front of the camera himself.
