Story by Jack Foley

BENEDICT Cumberbatch and Ralph Fiennes look set to head the cast of a new biopic being directed by Gary Oldman.

Flying Horse tells the story of British photographer Eadweard Muybridge, who played a significant role in developing the technology behind motion pictures.

Fiennes is being lined up to take on the role of Muybridge, while Cumberbatch would play Harry Larkyns, a theatre critic who fathered a child with Muybridge’s wife. He was ultimately murdered by Muybridge.

Oldman, who will be making his second film as director following 1997’s Nil By Mouth, has also written the script and could play a small role as Muybridge’s attorney, according to The Wrap.

Oldman has worked with both actors before – he starred alongside Cumberbatch in 2011’s Tinker Tailor Solider Spy, while playing a significant role in the Harry Potter series alongside Ralph Fiennes.
