Billy Crudup boards Julia Roberts drama

BILLY Crudup has joined the cast of new Julia Roberts drama, Eat, Pray, Love.
The Watchmen star will play Roberts’ husband Steven, whose plans to have children are dashed when their attempts to start a family prompt her to feel she is not living the life she wants. She subsequently sets off on a journey of self-discovery around the world.
Adapted from Elizabeth Gilbert’s best-selling memoir, Eat, Pray, Love is being directed by Ryan Murphy, from a script he co-adapted with Jennifer Salt, and it co-stars Javier Bardem and Richard Jenkins.
Filming is due to begin next week, according to Variety.
Aside from Watchmen, Crudup was also seen playing J Edgar Hoover alongside Christian Bale and Johnny Depp in Michael Mann’s Public Enemies
