Brad Bird, director of Ratatouille

Story by Jack Foley

BRAD Bird has been confirmed as the director of sci-fi drama 1952.

The mystery project will see the Pixar luminary and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol filmmaker unite with Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof.

Very little is still known about the project, which was set up by Lindelof last year under a shroud of secrecy, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s going to be an ‘epic tentpole’.

It is not even yet known whether the film will be live action or animation.

Prior to Ghost Protocol (which has now grossed almost $700 million at the world-widebox office) Bird was best known for Pixar hits The Incredibles and Ratatouille.
