Brad Pitt being lined up for Tom Cruise reunion in Go Like Hell
Story by Jack Foley
BRAD Pitt is being lined up for a potential reunion with former Interview With A Vampire co-star Tom Cruise in racing drama Go Like Hell.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is being courted by director Joseph Kosinski for the project, which is based on AJ Baime’s book, Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans.
Cruise is already attached to portray car designer Carroll Shelby. He previously worked with Kosinski on this year’s sci-fi hit Oblivion.
Pitt has apparently been linked to a previous incarnation of the film, when Michael Mann had been attached to direct in 2009. He is said to have maintained an interest in the project ever since.
Go Like Hell would chronicle the true story of the competition between the Ford Motor Company and Italian sports car designer Enzo Ferrari, which culminated at the 1966 Le Mans race.
As yet, it is still early days. Pitt is also eying a sequel to his biggest box office hit to date, World War Z.
