Bryan Cranston joins Rock of Ages

BREAKING Bad‘s Bryan Cranston has joined the cast of rock musical Rock of Ages.

Director Adam Shankman announced the news on Twitter on Saturday when he also revealed that the actor will play the mayor of Los Angeles in the movie about an ’80s rock club.

The tweet read: “So honored! Bryan Cranston is joining the cast of #rockofagesmovie! LA has a mayor!”

Rock of Ages begins filming this month and also stars Diego Gonzalez Boneta, Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Mary J. Blige, Paul Giamatti, Julianne Hough and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
