Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen to star in comedy Flarsky

The Burning Plain

Story by Jack Foley

CHARLIZE Theron and Seth Rogen are to star in a new comedy called Flarsky for acclaimed director Jonathan Levine.

The story will focus on an unemployed journalist (Rogen), battered by his own misfortune and self-destructive ways, who attempts to pursue his childhood crush and babysitter, who now happens to be one of the most powerful and unattainable women on earth (Theron).

The film is based on a script by Dan Sterling which was on the famed Black List in 2011. Shooting is due to begin in August.

Levine’s CV includes the cancer comedy-drama 50/50, stoner comedy The Night Before (both of which saw him working with Rogen), as well as The Wackness. He has the upcoming comedy Snatched, starring Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn, due to open soon in the US.

Theron will shortly be seen in Fast and Furious 8 as well as Atomic Blonde. She recently signed up for the CIA thriller Need To Know.

Rogen will next be seen in James Franco’s The Disaster Artist.
