Chris Pine looks to make some money
Story by Jack Foley
CHRIS Pine is being lined up to star in new fact-based drama The Art of Making Money.
The film would follow a Chicago man named Art Williams (Pine), who turned out to be the alias for a petty thief who rose to become a master counterfeiter.
The story is based on an article that appeared in Rolling Stone magazine in 2005 by Jason Kersten, which was then turned into the book The Art of Making Money: The Story of a Master Counterfeiter.
Paramount Pictures is currently look to fast-track the project into development with DJ Caruso being lined up to direct, according to Variety.
Caruso recently teamed up with Shia LaBeouf for Eagle Eye and Disturbia, while Pine is a hot property after the success of Star Trek.
He’ll next be seen in indie horror Carriers (in UK cinemas in December), as well as alongside Denzel Washington in Tony Scott’s Unstoppable.
