Chris Pratt and Tom Holland to appear in Avengers: Infinity War
Story by Jack Foley
CHRIS Pratt and Tom Holland will both appear in forthcoming Avengers film Infinity War.
Pratt will be playing his Guardians of the Galaxy character Star-Lord, while Holland will be suiting up as Spider-Man.
The revelations were made in a new a behind-the-scenes featurette released by Marvel Studios from the Atlanta set of the film, and followed a Facebook Live Q&A session with Robert Downey Jr, who also stars in the film as Iron Man.
In addition to Star-Lord, the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy will appear in Infinity War, which finds the Avengers having to put aside their recent Civil War difficulties to fight a new threat posed to the Earth by Thanos (James Brolin).
However, according to Marvel Studio Head Kevin Feige that may be harder than it seems, given that the Avengers are totally unprepared to face Thanos given that Civil War fall-out, which will continue to see Tony Stark and Captain America (Chris Evans) not talking to each other.
“The Avengers are basically a name with nobody in it,” adds screenwriter Christopher Markus.
However, according to one of the film’s co-directors, Joe Russo, it’s Stark who may well hold the key to saving everyone’s bacon. “Tony senses this greater threat approaching, so he is doing everything in his power to keep the Earth safe,” he added.
The featurette wraps with the promise that the next two films in the Avengers series will be “an event like no one has ever seen before”.
