Chuck Norris bans swearing on Expendables sequel

The Expendables

Story by Jack Foley

F**K yeah! Movie hardman Chuck Norris has confirmed that the banning of swearing on blockbuster sequel The Expendables 2 was the only reason he signed up to the Sylvester Stallone action ensemble.

Speaking to a Polish magazine about his conditions for signing on, Norris said: “In Expendables 2, there was a lot of vulgar dialogue in the screenplay. For this reason, many young people wouldn’t be able to watch this. But I don’t play in movies like this.

“Due to that I said I won’t be a part of that if the hardcore language is not erased. Producers accepted my conditions and the movie will be classified in the category of PG-13.”

Explaining still further, Norris went on to reassure fans via AICN that the swearing ban had not come at the expense of any hardcore action.

“Trust me when I say this film is LARGE in every way and delivers on every level. This movie touches on many emotions which we want to share with the broadest audience possible, BUT, fear not, this Barbeque of Grand scale Ass Bashing will not leave anyone hungry…”

Simon West has taken over from Stallone behind the camera but is still working with one of the greatest action casts ever assembled. All of the main stars from the first film are returning, including Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis in meatier roles, as well as newcomers Liam Hemsworth and Jean-Claude Van Damme.
