Clash of the Titans three-quel in development

Clash of the Titans

Story by Jack Foley

A THIRD Clash of the Titans movie is reportedly being developed by Warner Bros even before the sequel has hit cinemas.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dan Mazeau and David Leslie Johnson, who co-wrote the screenplay for Wrath of the Titans with Steven Knight, have been recruited to develop and write a treatment for the continuing adventures of Perseus, played by Sam Worthington.

Wrath of the Titans isn’t due to open until March 30, 2012, but Warner Bros is confident that it will open big, especially given the success of Louis Leterrier’s original Clash, which took $163 million in the US and $330 million overseas.

The sequel also retains many of the original’s stars – as well as Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Danny Huston reprise their roles as Greek gods – while adding Edgar Ramirez, Rosamund Pike, Toby Kebbell and Bill Nighy.

It is also believed that the third film would find a bigger role for Kebbell’s Agenor, a sidekick-like character to Perseus who plays a key role in the sequel.
