CLIVE Owen has signed up for new crime thriller Blood Ties.

The star-studded pic is being directed by French actor-director Guillaume Canet and is set during the ’70s.

Owen will be joined by Billy Crudup, Mila Kunis, James Caan, Zoe Saldana and Marion Cotillard, who is married to Canet in real-life.

An adaptation of the French novel Les Liens du Sang, the film will focus on a young brother (Crudup) who is forced to ask his convict older brother (Owen) to go back into the underworld to help out the family.

Kunis and Cotillard play love interests.

Canet wrote the screenplay with James Gray and has previously directed the French hit Tell No One based on a popular US novel. He was also seen last year alongside Keira Knightley in Last Night.

Shooting is due to begin in April on location in New York.
