Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz for Coens' Gambit reboot

Then She Found Me

Story by Jack Foley

COLIN Firth and Cameron Diaz are to unite for a big screen reboot of 1966 British caper Gambit, which has been scripted by Joel and Ethan Coen.

The stars will step into the shoes originally worn by Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine, while the story follows a London art curator (Firth) who plots an elaborate scheme to con a wealthy collector into buying a fake Monet painting.

As part of the plan, he recruits a Texas steer roper (Diaz) to play the part of a woman whose grandfather liberated the painting at the end of WWII.

Michael Hoffman, of The Last Station fame, is directing and intends to commence shooting in London in May.

Gambit is one of the first projects financed by Crime Scene Pictures.
