Colin Firth and Emma Stone for new Woody Allen movie

Story by Jack Foley

COLIN Firth and Emma Stone have signed up to star in the new film from Woody Allen.

The as-yet untitled comedy will be set in the South of France and is due to shoot this summer. As per usual with a new Allen project, plot details are being kept under wraps.

But the announcement will see Allen shooting in France for a second time and marks the director’s eighth film set in Europe.

The Hollywood Reporter has also confirmed that cinematographer Darius Khondji, production designer Anne Seibel and costume designer Sonia Grande, who all worked with Allen on Midnight in Paris and To Rome With Love, will collaborate again on this film.

Allen has his next film ready for release. It’s called Blue Jasmine and stars Cate Blanchett, Sally Hawkins, Alec Baldwin and Bobby Cannavale. As yet, the plot is undisclosed.

Firth’s next projects include Genius and The Railway Man. He is also being linked to Matthew Vaughn’s new film, The Secret Service.

Stone’s next projects include The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Birdman.
