Colin Firth joins Three To Kill thriller

Story by Jack Foley

COLIN Firth has joined the thriller Three To Kill.

An adaptation of French author Jean-Patrick Manchette’s novel, the film will see Firth playing a disillusioned businessman who accidentally stumbles across a murder scene while visiting the French coast.

Two crazed killers then embark on a mission to hunt him down in order to eliminate anyone who could link them to the crime.

Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote the screenplay for The Usual Suspects and directed The Way of The Gun and Jack Reacher, is on board to direct from a script by Howard Rodman.

Manchette’s book has previously been successfully turned into a critically-acclaimed graphic novel called West Coast Blues by Jacques Tardi.

Production is due to commence once McQuarrie has wrapped on Mission: Impossible 5, which is set for a December 25, 2015 release and sees the return of Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg.

Firth is currently working on Matthew Vaughn’s spy flick The Secret Service and will also be recording Paddington Bear’s voice for a new animated version of the loveable children’s story.

He will shortly be seen in The Railway Man alongside Nicole Kidman.
