Coraline leads Annies nominations (2010)

HENRY Selick’s Coraline leads the field going into the Annies, picking up 10 nominations including best film.

Pixar’s Up followed closely behind with nine nods, while Disney’s The Princess & The Frog attracted eight.

The awards seek to recognise achievements in animation and include categories for best feature and best director.

Box office favourite Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is also in the running for best feature, along with Fantastic Mr Fox, Coraline, The Secret of Kelis, Up and The Princess & The Frog.

The winners will be announced on 6 February, 2010. Last year’s winner was Kung Fu Panda.
