Dan Stevens joins Night At The Museum 3

FORMER Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens has reportedly joined the cast of Night At The Museum 3.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the British actor will line up alongside Ben Stiller and Robin Williams in the three-quel, which is due to see the action transferred from the US to London.

Stiller will return as security guard Larry Daley, while Williams will once again play Teddy Roosevelt. Stevens will play Lancelot, the movie’s villain.

Franchise director Shawn Levy is also back behind the camera when shooting begins in February 2014.

The Night At The Museum series that has grossed close to a billion dollars to date.

Stevens became a British household name as Matthew Crawley on Downton and has since established a successful film career, having appeared in Wikileaks movie The Fifth Estate and indie drama Summer in February.

He will be seen in the upcoming thriller A Walk Among the Tombstones alongside Liam Neeson and Ruth Wilson and also has Adam (You’re Next) Wingard’s The Guest in the bag.
