Daniel Craig and Katherine Heigl join Steven Soderbergh's Logan Lucky

Cowboys And Aliens

Story by Jack Foley

DANIEL Craig and Katherine Heigl have joined the cast of Steven Soderbergh’s Logan Lucky.

The film, which was being shopped at the recent Cannes Film Festival where it attracted considerable buzz, already boasts a cast including Channing Tatum and Michael Shannon, as well as Adam Driver, Riley Keough and Seth MacFarlane in supporting roles.

The story will focus on two brothers, played by Tatum and Shannon, who plan a heist during a high-profile NASCAR race.

Production is scheduled to begin in the autumn.

The film is already notable for marking Soderbergh’s first feature film since 2013’s medical thriller Side Effects after which he claimed he had retired from feature film making.

He has since earned widespread acclaim for his television work on medical series The Knock with Clive Owen.

Craig’s appearance would be one of his first big screen outings since James Bond movie Spectre, which is widely expected to be his last outing as 007.
