Get Out, Daniel Kaluuya

Story by Jack Foley

DANIEL Kaluuya has joined the cast of Widows, a new heist thriller being directed by Steve McQueen.

The British actor will join an ensemble already comprised of Viola Davis, Elizabeth Debicki and Michelle Rodriguez.

The film will focus on four women who team up to complete a heist. It is based on the 1980s British TV series of the same name.

The story begins with a group of armed robbers being killed during a robbery, prompting their widows to finish the job. Kaluuya has signed up to play the hothead brother of a character played by Andre Holland.

McQueen, whose credits include Hunger and 12 Years A Slave, wrote the script with Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn.

Kaluuya’s extensive film credits include Denis Villeneuve’s Sicario, recently nabbed the lead role in writer-director Jordan Peele’s acclaimed horror movie Get Out, which is expected to perform well at the US box office over Oscars weekend.

He is also currently shooting Marvel Studios’ Black Panther.
