Danny Huston is Richard The Lionheart

DANNY Huston is to play Richard The Lionheart in Sir Ridley Scott’s as-yet untitled Robin Hood movie.
The actor was last seen as X-Men villain General Stryker in the Wolverine movie and has a strong reputation for playing complex characters in films such as 30 Days of Night, The Constant Gardener and The Proposition (pictured).
Richard the Lionheart was the English monarch whose capture during The Crusades paved the way for the rise of Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Huston will join the cast, which also finds Russell Crowe playing Robin Hood and Cate Blanchett as Maid Marian.
Scott’s film is due for release on May 14, 2010.
