Dodgeball sequel in development

Story by Jack Foley

A SEQUEL to Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story is belatedly in the works.

Twentieth Century Fox has reportedly hired screenwriter Clay Tarver to draft a follow-up to the 2004 comedy hit, which starred Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller as rival competitors and gym club owners.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dodgeball 2 will see Vaughn’s Peter La Fleur forced to team up with Stiller’s egotistical White Goodman when a larger threat emerges.

Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld will produce the sequel through their Red Hour Films company.

The original Dodgeball grossed $167 million (£110m) at the worldwide box office on its original release.
