Domhnall Gleeson in talks to play Winnie the Pooh creator AA Milne

Story by Jack Foley

DOMNHALL Gleeson is in early talks to play Winnie the Pooh creator A.A. Milne in Goodbye Christopher Robin.

The project will focus on the difficult relationship between Milne and his son, who went on to serve as the inspiration behind Christopher Robin.

Indeed, Milne based the honey-loving Pooh Bear on his son’s beloved stuffed teddy bear.

Gleeson is currently a very hot property, having made a strong impression in two of last year’s most talked about releases: Star Wars: The Force Awakens (as General Hux) and Oscar-winner The Revenant alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.

He also won widespread acclaim for his performance in Alex Garland’s sci-fi drama Ex_Machina.

The actor also recently joined the cast of the National Lampoon origin story A Futile and Stupid Gesture.
