Dwayne Johnson set to bring video game Rampage to big screen

Story by Jack Foley

DWAYNE Johnson is attached to star in a big screen adaptation of popular ’80s video game Rampage.

The project will reunite the actor with New Line and producer Beau Flynn, who most recently teamed up for the hit disaster blockbuster San Andreas.

The game, developed by Nintendo, invited players to take control of gigantic monsters trying to survive against onslaughts of military forces. Each round is completed when a particular city is completely reduced to rubble.

Ryan Engle (of Non-Stop fame) is currently penning a script.

Johnson is having one of the highest-profile summers of any actor. In addition to the box office success of San Andreas, he also played a key part in mammoth hit Fast & Furious 7.
